{Last Day of BEDA!?}

I can't believe that it's the last day of BEDA! This month just went by way too fast. I'm also 35 weeks pregnant! I'm sorry that I don't have an awesome post planned for today I actually completely forgot about it lol. I've also been trying to get the apartment ready for 20+ women to be here tomorrow for the baby shower.

I'm thinking we're going to be having Fairy soon.  I've started to show the signs for the final stretch! I think it'll happen in a week or two {hopefully} with how much as happened.  Two days ago my pelvis separated.  I've been a little sick to my stomach, I started loosing my plug, my braxton hicks have picked up a LOT and have started to hurt {I know that they're BHs because they go away if I sit or lay down.}  My body has started to flush itself out too, and I've been cramping for the past few days, I also had one contraction last night while I was playing with Princess and Hubs.  My dr isn't worried if I have her now that I'm 35 weeks he says aim for 37 but it's fine if I go at anytime.

35 days until the due date {if I make it that far lol.}

I've actually been sleeping horribly but I'm so so tired. I can't get comfortable at all and I have to prop my legs up with pillows because my legs start swelling.  I've also been getting up alot at night to go to the bathroom.

She's still a girl I hope but if she isn't I thankfully have some boy clothes LOL.

Clothes are so uncomfortable to wear but I still have a few that I will wear for long periods of time thankfully otherwise I don't know what I would do.

My wedding rings are around my neck with my cross. I really wish I can wear my rings I don't like not having them on.

I've been so emotional too.  I feel so bad for Hubs and Princess having to put up with it lol.

She's slowed down a little bit but she's also running out of room too so I'm not too worried because she will move around if I make her.

I've mostly been craving sweets.  It's been awful but I'm finally caught up on my weight!! I'm now at 142 pounds!

{Today Forget Your Past, Forgive Yourself and Begin Again}

I used to be someone I wasn't proud of during my late teens. I hated myself and for that I neglected myself. My health was bad, I weighed at the most 98 pounds {and that was my heaviest at that time} and I was sick all the time. I did very poorly in school I failed all but my art and photography classes. It got to the point where even my parents gave up on me.  Which I think was the worse thing for me. {Not blaming them honestly I understand why they did it.} I no longer had the will to move on from that point.

However, I came to meet my Hubs the spring of my final year and he helped me to believe in myself again.
He helped me to relearn who I was and who I wanted to be.
He taught me to forgive myself and I'm honestly still learning to begin anew.  I also admit that I still fall back into hating myself and I have to forgive myself all over again.

I just needed to get this out there and off my chest and mind.

Thanks for reading if you read it.

Sorry everyone this is going to be a short post.  Today I'm working on potty training fully and cooking food for after the baby is born so Hubs has one less thing to worry about.

I thought you all would like to know that I made a Facebook Page and please Like it.

Goodbye for now I need to rescue the food from burning.

{Looks a LOT Better!}

I haven't posted a homemaking tip I've learned in while!! I'm so so sorry!! Please forgive me!

Today I will be showing you how to get rid of those annoying tea stains on tea cups and mugs! I thought it was a lost cause until I was shown this.  All you need is two things.  That's right two.  I'm I'm willing to bet they're in your home right now.

Water
Salt

THAT'S IT!

You get your mug get it damp with a tiny bit of water inside {just a tiny!!} pour in your salt.  Rub it around inside.  Watch as your hands and the salt get icky colored.  Rinse it out and repeat if there is still a little bit left inside.

That's all you do!!  SO easy!

Now go my little pretties and clean your cups or mugs!

{Back onto Modesty}

First off, I'm not telling people do this, do that.  I'm telling people my opinions {opinions are like belly buttons everyone has one} asking questions.This is something I am doing for MYSELF and MY HUSBAND.

When people think of the word modest in terms of dress. They automatically think frumpy, plain prudish, insecure, broken spirited, among other things that I don't want to get into at this moment.  It really isn't.  It can be mysterious, alluring, captivating, you get the picture.

Also, it isn't just about how much do I hide of my body do I hide.  It's more of a question of what message do I want to convey to the world.  What am I trying to gain with what I'm wearing.

Do I want respect?
or
Do I want to attract the wrong attentions?

{To the girls looking for a guy}
Ok, yes, what girl doesn't want attention. Or feel pretty.  Which kind of a guy do you want to attract? Do you want the nice amazing guy? or the guy that is rude, looks at other women, flirts with other girls that are dressed in clothes that show it off?  If that is how you attracted him in the first place why do you think he's going to stop after you get him?

When I dress I ask myself:
If I have to walk up {or down} a flight of stairs do I worry about covering myself?

Yes there is the argument of "Then they can just not look it's not that hard." Guess what you're right it's not but why tempt men {who are visually stimulated} into sin?

As I was going through my closet to get rid of all the immodest clothing I was shock at myself at how far I'd fallen from what I used to be.  I felt like I not only betrayed my husband at how I was dressing, by showing off what was his and his alone. I was also betraying myself and God.

I dove into my closet pulled out everything that I couldn't use layers with, the clothes I knew were too small but still dreamed of fitting into again, and too short dresses and just tossed them into a big garbage bag to donate.  I cleared out half of my wardrobe in my closet and my dresser. Maternity, nursing able, and non-maternity a like weren't safe from this endeavor.  I have only a handful left of each but what I have left was what made me happy.

Even if I do ever get back to wearing my old sizes, I can always go buy more at the local thrift shops. Fashion changes and what I was trying to hold onto wasn't what I think would be what a mother would were they were clothes that I had from high school and they may have been modest in cut and style but since they were too small and tight that it wasn't modest at all.  So I want to bless a teen girl with these outfits.

Honestly, I have quite a few tank tops, camis, and short flannel shorts because lets face it they're comfy, and when I sleep I'm more comfortable in them. But I never where them where people who aren't my husband {or daughter if she crawls in bed with us} can see. I change my clothes before I open my binds in the morning {also a good idea because if you get a knock on your door in the morning you aren't running around looking for a robe lol}

One of my favorite rules:
Never wear anything you would not want to wear in front of Jesus.

As I was growing up I learned the head, shoulders, knees, and toes rules too.

Raise your arms above you head. Does it show your stomach?
Hands on your shoulders. Are your shoulders covered?
Hands on your knees. Are your shorts or skirts at or below your knees?
Bend and touch your toes.  Is your skirt riding up or your shirt showing anything?

Personally I'm more of a skirt person now. I've personally never liked shorts. {As a teen I hated dresses and skirts but I was going through a rebellion stage so I just wore pants.}  I think I own 4 pairs of shorts.  All of them I've worn while cleaning and don't care if they get messy or ruined{which I actually just realized LOL!}  I honestly have been thinking about starting to wear skirts and dresses instead of pants anymore I'm far more comfortable in them but that's just me.

I will actually be posting more on this. But I will stop for now because I feel this is getting too long.

{Sick Toddler}

So today I'm not doing what I had originally planned.  Last night Princess came into our bed last night and actually fell asleep next to us.  Which is weird because ever since she was 4 months old she's refused to sleep next to us and if she was in bed with us she would play and force herself to stay awake.

This morning when Hubs got out of bed to get ready for work she told him that her tummy was uspet and she wanted juice so Hubs got her some juice and got in the shower.  I was asleep during this.  I woke up to her throwing up all over the bed and my pillows.  I got out of bed so I can talk to Hubs to let him know what happened and he told me that she had told him she wasn't feeling good.

I wanted to wash the bedding just after I washed them all didn't I?  Not.  Oh well life happens so I got it cleaned up and Princess to take a short nap before she threw up again.  Made a pitcher of iced peppermint tea and a pitcher of peppermint water.  Both are great for upset stomachs.

I've used peppermint water for her since she was an infant and it's been amazing.  People always ask me why I always stock up on candy canes at all the after Christmas sales and they usually tease me for believing the 'Old Wives Tales.'  It works fantastic and Princess' Dr. approved of it wholeheartedly.

What I do is just crush the candy canes and put them into a jar.  When I need it I boil water in my kettle and in a mug I pour some in the bottom of it, when the water is boiled I pour it into the mug and I stir it until it's completely melted.  I then pour that into a pitcher of cold water and it's ready to drink.  I call it The Special Juice so that Princess will drink it.

{33 weeks}

Man it's hard to believe that I have only 49 days until my due date!  This week is the week I went into preterm labor with Princess and I'm nervous that it'll happen this pregnancy too.

I've been a crazing woman trying to get stuff done that needs to be done before I have her. {Like finish all the baby laundry. Hopefully, only 4 more loads at the most.}  I also need to finish rearranging the master bed room, along with decluttering and purging a ton of stuff I now have more stuff to donate and a new bag of stuff to sell to the used book store and the thrift shop.

I started this list on Monday fully.

{highlighted is stuff I still have to do}

List of things to get done:

  1. Get a dresser for Fairy
  2. Get the storage cabinet from my parent's house and into the nursery
  3. pack away clothes 12 months and up
  4. Fill the dresser
  5. Fill the cabinet
  6. throw away empty boxes
  7. Rearrange master
  8. organize master
  9. finish Princess' room
  10. Pack hospital bag{s}
  11. get crib in nursery
  12. set up crib
  13. wash ALL bedding
  14. Get more baby hangers and hang up clothes
  15. rearrange changing table
  16. move Princess' dresser into her closet
  17. find a home for bottles
  18. move bassenet into master bedroom
  19. put diapers in master bed
  20. put extra clothes, blankets, sleepers, burp rags, bibs, and diapering needs into master
  21. Find a place for baby stuff
  22. wash all baby stuff
  23. find where I put the D batteries

{33 weeks}

Sleep: Good still however last night I was hit by the insomnia fairy
Gender: Girl
Clothes: the ones I have left still fit me for now
Wedding Rings: Off :( but I can't fit into my fatty bands!
Emotions: I've been crying a lot over everything
Movement: She's slowed way down but still moving enough for me to not be worried
Looking forward too: Getting the list done.
Symptoms: Tired, in pain from my back down, painful Braxton Hicks, feet and hands swelling by the end of the day, break outs, decreased appetite, hot, sore breasts, colostrum
Cravings: Mountain Dew

{So very happy}

Yesterday when I took the giant pile of boxes to donation I took my mom out with me for some fresh air {she's been in a cast on her right hand and she can't do much if anything.} While we were out we came across a little hole in the wall thrift shop. Now pretty much all the thrift shops just aren't worth going into anymore all they are is just junk. But this place. This new shiny place of wonders is amazing.  I found a ton of things I wanted just at the front door and as I went further and further in I fell in love.

This treasure trove of wonderful, great quality, wonderfully priced vintage items is just what this girl needed although I couldn't buy much i still walked out with a great pair of shoes for $6, three little owls for $3, and a sign the owners wife made for the nursery for $3.

My mom also bought Princess an old toy phone, a little paino, and a little rocking chair all for $5.

I will tell you now that I will be going back and become a regular.

Talk at you later as I need to start another load of wash and run a load of bottles and some pacifiers through the dishwasher.
