{Sick Days and Proud Moments}

Why is it that I sit down to blog when I'm sick? Have you noticed that? We {Fairy and I} have come down with a cold. It's so sad to hear her try to cry in a hoarse voice, and wake up in the morning hearing her difficulty breathing. Monday, I woke up with no voice at all and the past two mornings my throat was killing me.

Now onto the news about Fairy's heart.

We went to Primary Children's Hospital this morning, and spent the whole morning there. From 8:15a to 12:30p.

They checked her blood oxygen levels, her blood pressure, did an EKG, and an echocardiogram.

{Echo}
It was so hard seeing her go through all of this. Hubs unfortunately couldn't make it due to meetings he couldn't get out of. Thankfully, one of my long time friends came with me so I wasn't alone.

Fairy was also given a really soft, nice blanket for doing so well during the hour long echo. She loves it so much.

She's had suck a hard day and she handled it with such class. I'm so proud of her.

As it turns out her heart is perfect. In fact, her heart is very strong and robust that it's the blood flow that they all heard.

{Long Day Turns into a Long Night}

So this morning I took Fairy to her first official doctors appointment.

She's now up weighing 9lbs 3.5ozs and 21 1/4 inches long.
She has a confirmed lazy eye.
Got five shots today.
Also an umbilical hernia.
She also has a heart murmur that we have to go in on Wednesday morning to get it looked at by a pediatric cardiologist. {It's 10:30p here now on Monday.}

All day my poor baby hasn't felt well at all.
I haven't been able to put her down for longer than 15 minutes, and that's only if she fell asleep.

She did have a fever but thankfully it broke around 7 tonight but she still is too miserable to let me sleep. She's only calming down if I'm rocking her or walking around with her.

{2 new skirts!}

I just upcycled two dresses and made them into skirts!
I got them when I was pregnant with Princess but I think they were WAY too immodest for my tastes.
I was wanting more skirts and I remembered making aprons out of skirts.

 I thought since they had the stretchy part under where the bust that I could just cut off the top part and viola!

Two new skirts!
