Wet Rainy Friday

Thank you everyone for not telling the gender on facebook lol it was fun to get the calls and texts instead of just comments on facebook it made it more personal I think. I know understand why Hubs wanted to do this. Now onto everything I wanted to do for today!  (Hopefully I'll remember all of it.)

My challenge:
I am finally getting settled into the layout and the uses of the binder and I love it! I still can't figure out where to keep it yet though. I've also moved my baby info, pages, and documents into another binder I had laying around and that's surprisingly helped make more room in the homemaking on and I'm thinking about moving the inspirational pages into they're own as well.

Today's The Day!!

Hey everyone!! Today is the ultrasound day!  I woke up at 5:30 this morning and I was too nervous and excited to go back to sleep. Apparently, Hubs had troubles sleeping at all and he told me that he only slept a few minutes here and there. We rolled out of bed after being too lazy to get up around 6 something. Hubs got Princess up while I got dressed. I tried to eat breakfast and I had a little bit of tea. we walked out the door late (like normal).  After picking up my mom we were on our way to see the Little Bean. We meet Hubs's parents there. Waited maybe  10 minutes if that to go back in to get the ultrasound.  So excited!! Hubs said that it would be s lot of fun to announce to everyone on here the gender and I think it would be too. Yes actually I am stalling lol. For those of you who are coming in from our Facebook profiles there is a rule. You are not to comment on our Facebooks yet about what the gender is and if you do it will get deleted. However, you can call us, text us, or even comment on here. Sorry but we want to keep this fair for everyone and I don't want people to cheat lol.

Sick

Here I am sitting on the couch. Sick. Bleh. Blogging on my phone. Have to get used to it lol.

So on Saturday I started getting sick I was on the couch all day sleeping while Princess watched netflix on the TV. Everything hurt. If anything cold ir cooler than my body it would shoot a dull pain throughout my body. The bad part was Hubs had to work that day and work late.

I started to feel slightly better the next few days but then yesterday hit me. A runny nose, a stuffy nose, and the thing I hate the most: a bad cough. I just had to walk to the mail box by the time I got back inside I had to use my heating pad on my chest because it hurt so bad and my cough picked up. It is awful. Hubs got it too and came home early and went to bed without the cough (yay!) Princess had a runny nose and a slight cough (not my baby girl!)

Last night since I can't take cold meds I ended up having to use half a sleeping pill (Dr said it was fine) and I was finally able to get some rest despite the horrid cough. This morning however I woke up when Hubs alarm was going off and I had to run to the bathroom and was throwing up (not fun) when will this nightmare end!? So Hubs stayed with me today to take care of me and Princess.

Baby Update:
Little bean kicked for Hubs last night :D
I'll post more baby tomorrow so I can put my phone down and take a nap.

Homemaking Binder Post #2

Hey everyone!

My binder is a 3 inch one because I'm a pack rat lol. I finally figured out a page out of all the ones I had for the daily at a glace page. Finally! This is the one I absolutely love. She made a new one on her blog but I just don't like it as much.

I also put in the following:
Stain Cheat Sheet
I use her blog ideas page
This post is awesome for the child ID page here is the quick template for that
I also used some of her tips that can be used for something other than a hurricane
2012 calender
Ongoing Problems

This is the cover of mine I just used what I think is pretty and fits for us.  Since there are going to be four of us we thought we should have something to represent Little Bean and also I'm so obsessed with owls.  We're even doing an owl theme in the nursery! So excited to get that project going.

The back I love too lol.

Inside pocket has put lease contract, envelopes, receipts, and a recipe I need to put back away lol.
In my pouch I keep all the pens I seem to keep finding all around the apartment, two pairs of scissors, permanent markers, an envelope with stamps in it, freezer tape, pencils, a ton of hair ties, random keys until I find where they go.

This is the updated sheet from the one I loved but I don't like it as much so I'm using it until I'm out of them.
For the problems that need to be fixed.
The calender I linked above.

My monthly goals and projects. Looking for the link to those. I'll post it when I find it.

That's it on the binder for now!

Recipe comes from not know what I wanted to make for dinner last night so we made it up as we went along.

4 thin sliced, boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
6 chopped baby carrots
mushrooms, chopped
corn
peas
broccoli
garlic

Preheat your oven to 350f.  Spray your pan with cooking spray and place your chicken in the bottom. Put in all your vegetables and mushrooms in the dish. Pour cream of soups over top and mix up. bake for an hour and a half or until chciken is throughly cooked. (still learning everything)

A Sunday Post

.
Before I start this we are adding a poll on here for every to vote about what they think or want us to have. Is it going to be a boy or girl? The poll is going to be on the right hand side of the page and please don't forget to vote!

Sadly it's very very true.  Princess does well sometimes depending on what we're working on but not with most things.  She'll help sweep and loves to push the clothes into the dryer for me. She keeps away from the room when I vacuum. However I have a hard time keeping her out of the dishes when I'm loading them in the dishwasher, she loves to pull them out as I put them in, and I also have trouble as I try to get her toy's picked up she pulls them right out.

On Pinterest I found a pin one day that had some rules that this lady had to use for her kids when regular ones wouldn't work, a normal rule would be don't hit your sibling, or don't make messes.

One rule she had that I thought was interesting was 'If I'm in a room working you work too.' Somehow for her it worked.  I'm sitting her thinking "How does she get them to listen to that instead of 'normal' rules? In fact how does she enforce it?  I then think it wouldn't work for me at the moment I have to keep Princess where I can see her. In fact yesterday I came out of the kitchen and found her on the couch coloring on herself with a pen.

Thankfully, I got to her before she got to the wall. I can get crayon off but I'm still learning about the removal of pen off the wall.

PREGNANCY WEEK 18-

How far along? 18 weeks 2 days
Total weight gain/measurements: Last I checked 120
Maternity clothes: None I think I'm good this pregnancy for clothes at least for now
Stretch marks? just the ones from Princess
Sleep: Getting a lot better
Best moment this week: We finally got our full anomaly scan when we went to our new obstetrician (whom we really liked by the way...phew!), and everything was absolutely perfect.  He also confirmed that it's a girl, so yay for that!
Miss anything? Not really.
Movement: Tons!! Although Little Bean is teasing Hubs by not moving when he tries to feel (can feel out side of the belly now) and then starts moving again when he pulls his hand away
Food cravings: A ton of carbs LOL. Mostly the biggest one has been fish and chips with tartar sauce and vinegar but it's so hard to find the real stuff here. Also chili cheese fries and chicken noodle soup.
Anything making you queasy or sick? So far if food make me sick it's random like this morning I was eating a tuna sandwich and in the middle of eating it I had to stop because it started making me a little queasy. I also have problems eating inside places because all the smells get to me and overwhelm me to the point where I either get sick or just loose my appetite.
Gender: I don't know yet. We have to wait until May 15.
Labour signs: Nope!
Symptoms: The breaking out has been bad again. It started to slow down but not any more. TMI! I'm starting to leak colostrum a little bit but not much. With Princess it started way earlier and had a lot more. Another one which is probably TMI but I'm going to mention it anyway -- constipation :(
Belly button in or out? It's in the middle lol
Wedding rings on or off? On!
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: I'm so so excited to be finding out what we're having!! We both are!!

My Personal Challenge

18 weeks yay! Now I just have to wait for 11 more days to find out what we're having.. I don't do well waiting.  I actually have no idea what to blog about today. I usually can come up with a little bit of things but today I have nothing.  My brain has decided to take a vacation.

~~

Hey, I just had an idea! I have a very important resource for a homemaker that I started a few months ago.  I actually picked it back up yesterday. The thing I'm talking about is the Homemaking Binder. I love this thing. I have no idea why I left it alone... oh wait... I do..  I had it all written on notebook paper. It wasn't appealing at all. At least in my opinion. I hate my handwriting. So it didn't help that EVERYTHING was handwritten instead of just what I needed to do for the day.

Why did I pick it pack up? Because I managed to get the printer running again all by myself. {See Mr. I.T. Hubby Man I can learn from watching you!} Also, because I've been failing horribly in the homemaking part of my life. {Oops sorry sweetheart!}

So I went onto google and searched under homemaking binder and just collected everything I could find printout wise that I wanted. After printing them out I reorganized my binder and asked Hubby to take me shopping tonight to get some more printer paper (I am now all out of the handful I did have) along with more sheet protesters and pens. So finally, I'm starting to get very happy with how it looks. This morning Hubs found me actually filling out the sheets on the bathroom floor when he got out of the shower.  He was very confused as to why I was until I reminded him that we had company sleeping on the couch and I didn't want to wake them up this early in the moring. (I love you Jack! Lol see look I did write about you!)

How did I get the idea to do this as a post? As I was looking for more things to put in my binder; I came across Motherhood on a Dime's post 30-Day Challenge: Home Management Binder.  She too was inspired by Flylady to make a 'Control Journal.' I love the Flylady but it just didn't keep my interest for long sadly. And this lady I found didn't use hers when she first started either and then picked it up again to work on it again. She then created the 30-day challenge to make her binder.  So I started thinking that I need to challenge myself and set myself a challenge involving my own binder.

Challenge: 'finish' and use my binder everyday in May. (At least the rest of May)

That seems like something I can do. For me personally I need to set a date to go to and if I make it I change the date to a later one. If I get to June then I will challenge myself to use it for that whole month. I really really hope to do this.

I just need to finish it. I have it mostly all set up or typed up when I ran out of paper. I just need to learn what sheets work best for me and my family. Mostly for me though, Hubs told me he doesn't want to mess anything up or even touch it (he even hates to touch my purse.)

It's pretty easy to make too! To make your own here is what you need:

  • Binder
  • Sheet protectors
  • Labels (I just made my own using scotch tape and cut up paper)
  • Page Divider (again I made my own using a sheet protector and the labels I made)
  • pencil pouch
I then made categories for everything:
  • In the front is my daily list for that day it includes: the date, today's goals, fitness plan for the day, reminds me to drink water and keeps track of how much I've had, to-dos for the day, appointments, a don't forget to spot, reminds me to take my vitamins, and the meal plan for the day
  • Next is my ongoing problems page. It allows me to keep track of problems, the contact info for the person I need to call about the problems, and the resolution, and follow up info.
  • I then have a 'Ways I can bless my Husband:' page. I write things that I think will bless my Hubs or show him the little ways I can show him I love him and respect him.
  • then I have my monthly goal plans for whatever we want to do or get done for that month.
  • Next is my schedules. I have an entire year calender, month by month calenders from my google calender printed out, and my page of daily prayers and Bible verses of the day for both as a wife and as a mother in a month format.
  • After that I have my inspiration pages. I have poems, pictures, articles, and Bible verses that inspire me to be better and to better my home.
  • Next up is my meal planning section.  I have my meal sheets, grocery lists (monthly and bi-monthly), freezer inventory, pantry inventory, favorite recipes, and recipes to try.
  • Next is my cleaning.  My weekly cleaning schedule, my master household supplies list, laundry stain cheat sheet, and a detailed list of my weekly cleaning with check boxes to mark them as I finish them.
  • Next up we have my 'Other' section that I haven't really organized yet. It has a travel packing checklist, camping checklist, patterns for my craft projects whenever I get my new sewing machine since my other two won't work
  • Following that is my contacts. Emergency numbers with our home address, important contacts (family, doctors, ect.) my entire contact list
  • baby planning: articles I liked and thought I needed to remember, size of the baby week-by-week for the Hubs (sweet potato right now), baby shower invite list for my friend, tips and facts for the second pregnancy, my hospital bag list, birth plan, bed rest ideas if I have to go onto bedrest again, funny things from my parenting magazines, Birthday Idea's for Princess, learning to swaddle (Princess hated it so just in case this one loves it), eating tips for nursing, things I want to buy, print outs my doctor gave us, ect.

That is all I have in my binder so far. Man that sounds like a lot but I'm one that has to do research and keep as much as I can I find important.

Thank you for reading all this I know it seems like a lot but I will keep you updated on the progress I've made!
