{Labor and Delivery}

I'm finally in a better state of mind now.  So, last Monday I had my Little Fairy after a week of early labor and contractions, getting sent home from my Dr.'s office {he was out of town} by my Dr.'s office midwife with contractions two minutes apart starting to dilate, effaced, and baby in position, managed to stay pregnant until he got back in town monday morning.

I called the Dr. Monday morning at 9a., got told to go to the hospital but I had this weird fear of getting sent home again so I waited a half an hour until my in laws talked me into going in {hubs had to finish a few projects at work so he had to go in}, my Father-in-law took me up while my mother-in-law watched Princess.

They hooked me up to the monitors but without Hubs there I was a little terrified nervous so my contractions went from normal to all over the place.  After a couple hours they offered me a shot of Morphine {after that long of pain who was I to turn that down?} and it relaxed me enough finally that I was on a roll.  I went from a 2 to a 3 in under then minutes and my Dr. {who was NOT on call that night} refused to let anyone else deliver me told me in order for it to be him I had to go fast.

They put me on Pitocin to speed me up, water broke at 4:00p {Hubs was still at work frantic trying to get out} at 4 cm, Hubs got off and raced a long 40 minute drive and had to stop for gas or else the car would break down on him,  got my epidural just as he got to my room {it was an either now or wait for two hours after 3 c-sections were done choice}, went from a 4 to an 7 from 6 to 9 something then from 7 to 10 in under 10 minutes and it was a race between the Dr. changing and the baby.  I was telling the nurse over and over he better hurry she's coming.  He managed to get there in time thankfully it only took 4 pushes to get her out and on the second one he had me slow down. We spent most of the delivory teasing the Dr. and nursery nurse than pushing.

My beautiful Little Fairy was born at 9:33pm, 6 lbs. 10 oz, 18.5 inches long.

She's such a good baby she spends so much time sleeping and doesn't cry much and when she does she isn't loud at all with generally only one cry.

37 weeks and at the Dr.'s office
