{Christmas Madness}

Oh man have we been busy.  On sunday we went to my In-Law's and had cookie making day. Princess had so much fun playing with her cousins. Fairy even got to get her hands in the cookie dough for her first cookie day handprints.

However, that night I got a text from our neighbor in our building asking if we've heard water running lately in our apartment. Which we haven't and I told her that. Apparently, the neighbors directly below us had a pocket of water in their ceiling!

So, they turned off the water to the building and had a plumber come out thankfully we didn't have to drag the girls out into the cold and drive the 20 minutes back to let in the plumber to check out our pipes, and the 20 minutes back to the In-Laws to spend the night {the whole not having water thing.} So, yay that problem got fixed.

House hunting is horrible in this time of year too I've noticed. We've been looking at getting a house closer to Hub's work so it's less money we're spending on gas, because $60 a week is outrageous. Thankfully also, on days he doesn't have to go in early he's been car pooling. It's been fantastic on saving money.

Tomorrow is his company Christmas party and I am kind of excited.  I get to wear my new formal gown I had to buy because I didn't have anything other than my wedding dress and old prom dresses that don't fit. {It's hard to remember those days when I was a size 0 *sigh* lol}

I think I spent about $127 {heart attack!} on my entire outfit {shoes, slip, ect.} and a couple outfits for the girls, along with a couple other things for them. Where as I found a dress I really really wanted to get for about the same price but just the dress.

So far also, the past couple days I've been non stop deep cleaning and getting ready for Christmas.  So deep cleaning where if I didn't know better I'd think I was pregnant and nesting again {which I'm not!} lol.

Got to go though break time is over and the laundry is ready to get transferred.

{November Favorites}

Hey guys! I thought this would be fun to do.  I've created a list of my fall favorites that we liked.

Me:
TV shows/movies:

  • 'Once Upon a Time'
  • 'Elementary'
  • 'Dr. Who'
  • 'Sherlock'
  • 'Supernatural'

Beauty:

  • Dancing Waters Triple Moisture Shower Cream from Bath and Body Works
Food/Drink:
  • Tea, tea, and more tea {I've mostly been drinking Peppermint because I was sick though}
  • Strawberry Poptarts {frosted of course} have been our {mine and Hubs} favorite snack and have been eating them like crazy
Random Items:
  • blow dryer {Oh my goodness has it been my best friend this past month because I can't stop Princess from coloring on the walls with crayon}
  • The Mei Tai baby carrier {Fairy LOVES to be in it and I love to be able to do things hands free.  I even too her shopping with me on black friday in it. Thankfully it wasn't crazy here at all.}
Clothes:
  • my hat thing that Princess was wearing in Wordless Wednesday
  • My new eternity scarf

Princess {toddler}:
TV shows/Movies:

  • John Wayne movies are her favorite ones ever
  • 'Baby Einsteins'
  • Oddly enough she loves to watch 'Sherlock' too.
  • "Friends'
Beauty:
  • any form of chapstick

  • Those Beech Nut Purees to go pouches {she refuses to eat any form of veggies but with these I can give her the ones with the veggies in it and she'll eat it. Score for Mommy!}

You get some candy canes or peppermint candy crush them up and put them in a cup of hot water and stir it until it's melted and give it to them to drink. Our old Ped. told us about it when Princess was a couple months old before he retired. I love the old school Dr.'s}

  • A Marie from 'The Aristocats' stuffed animal

Fairy {newborn}:

Diapering:

  • Pamper's diapers have been amazing with her {with Princess it was Huggies instead}
Soothing:
  • MAM binkies! {she can't get enough of them}
  • Advent binkies {only if she can't get a MAM}
  • Her Graco bouncy seat {it doesn't work so we have to manually bounce it but hey at least we get a work out from it}
  • Her blanket she got from Primary Children's Hospital
Bedtime:
  • Swaddleme's
  • swaddling blankets
  • Carter's footy sleepers

{Autumn Bucket List: Outfit}

This one really had me thinking what out of all my clothes would be considered to be inspired by Autumn.

I then started thinking what would I dress the girls in? I really need to get Princess some boots for Princess. For Fairy I don't have any in the right colors.  But I figured that seeing them in cute warm clothes would be fun anyway.

When I think of Autumn I think warm colors.
Reds, golds, yellows, browns ect.

 Princess's outfit was a gift from my sister in law for her birthday I love it! Thank you! The shoes {until we get her new ones} were a gift from Hub's parents.

Fairy's outfit was from my in-laws also. The headband was a gift from a person at Hubs' work.

{Happy {day after} Halloween!}

Happy {day after} Halloween everyone!  I hope everyone had a safe fun filled day {and night.}

I had trouble choosing what to dress up as and what I should dress the girls as.. well Princess at least. Fairy has a sleeper I put her in with pumpkins and ghosts and other Halloween-y stuff on it.

{Isn't she cute!!}

Buying a costume this year was hard as was making one. Our budget honestly wouldn't allow it.  So for Princess I just used some of her white clothes and a beanie I bought a few years ago and she was happily a Stormtrooper. With an added flower clip and we have one very cute Stormtrooper.

I just wore a random dress I had but we didn't get a picture of that Hubs is fired from taking pictures ever again lol.

{Autumn Bucket List: Meal}

Hello people of earth I hope you're all staying warm {or cool depending on where you live.}
This morning I woke up to a wonderful sight.
It snowed during the night!
Princess was so excited and was telling me "Mommy it's Christmas!"
Absolute adorableness.
It then started snowing again throughout the day.
Then it just disappeared and I am too depressed to post a picture of the missing snow.
It's not as much as normal but hey it's something.
It always without fail snows at least once before Halloween hits.

I'm not normal. There I said it. You've also probably noticed it too.
So you see... I don't like breakfast foods. Most of the time.
Pretty much the only time I like pancakes is during Autumn oddly enough.
So I bet you can guess what today is about!
That's right!! Pancakes!
I only love them during Fall for reasons I don't know. It makes absolutely no sense to me.
I've spent a lot of time changing this recipe and a lot of trial and errors.
I ended up quadrupling the batch because I ran out in my freezer stash.
I'll even post the recipe for you!.  {Note: this is for Silver Dollars I usually double it for bigger ones}

Jamie's Autumn Pancakes
1 1/4 cups of flour
1 tbs baking powder
1 tbs sugar
1/2 ts salt
1 cup 2 tbs milk
1 egg
2 tbs veggie oil

Wisk everything together, pour the size you want onto a skillet or pan. Flip over when the bottom begins to brown and brown the other side take off and enjoy!

{Autumn Bucket List: Activity}

This fall I'm part of my first link up! Please follow the link to the original post.  Marie you're amazing thank you for thinking of this idea!

This weekend we went to Grandma and Papa's house to do our favorite fall activity! Painting pumpkins! Princess LOVED it.  She also finally decided on what hand she wants to use after three years of using both she is now a decided 'Lefty' and will now use only her left hand.

Also, I'm excited to announce I can now officially pack away all our summer clothes.  You have no idea just how excited I am for my boots and sweaters!

{New Baby Means New Cleaning Routine}

Since having Fairy our home has been a complete mess and really really needs love.  I really need to relearn how to keep everything up and in order.  So far I haven't learned anything helpful in that aspect; however, I have learned my new best friend at the moment are yoga pants and stretchy jeans {for when I want to feel more human} I bought before I got pregnant. Sadly those aren't helpful in the cleaning and maintaining of the home.

So today I sat down and I'm working on, as I type this actually, different ways and ideas on how to do it.  I really hope I can do this.  Thankfully Princess is a helper {sometimes} and likes to put clothes into the dryer and into the hamper.

I'm sorry I don't have anything yet to share as it's still in draft form.  But I will keep you all updated as I fine tune it.

Now onto pictures for my family, friends, and those who care lol.

{Sick Toddler}

So today I'm not doing what I had originally planned.  Last night Princess came into our bed last night and actually fell asleep next to us.  Which is weird because ever since she was 4 months old she's refused to sleep next to us and if she was in bed with us she would play and force herself to stay awake.

This morning when Hubs got out of bed to get ready for work she told him that her tummy was uspet and she wanted juice so Hubs got her some juice and got in the shower.  I was asleep during this.  I woke up to her throwing up all over the bed and my pillows.  I got out of bed so I can talk to Hubs to let him know what happened and he told me that she had told him she wasn't feeling good.

I wanted to wash the bedding just after I washed them all didn't I?  Not.  Oh well life happens so I got it cleaned up and Princess to take a short nap before she threw up again.  Made a pitcher of iced peppermint tea and a pitcher of peppermint water.  Both are great for upset stomachs.

I've used peppermint water for her since she was an infant and it's been amazing.  People always ask me why I always stock up on candy canes at all the after Christmas sales and they usually tease me for believing the 'Old Wives Tales.'  It works fantastic and Princess' Dr. approved of it wholeheartedly.

What I do is just crush the candy canes and put them into a jar.  When I need it I boil water in my kettle and in a mug I pour some in the bottom of it, when the water is boiled I pour it into the mug and I stir it until it's completely melted.  I then pour that into a pitcher of cold water and it's ready to drink.  I call it The Special Juice so that Princess will drink it.

{Princess the Artist}

As I had said Princess decided it would be fun to color on her walls {and bed} and I had said I would post them as soon as I get a chance here they are.
